BRISTOL

The lovely Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Paul Goggins, seen here in the Council Chambers of Bristol Civic Hall, accompanied by Zara Jama, the Civic Affairs Officer.

Originally from London, Paul moved to Bristol in 2003, but initially had a tough time of things and was sleeping rough for a while. Eventually getting help from local charity’ Second Step’

Paul is open about his having to live with bipolar disorder and PTSD, and encourages others with mental health problems to lead full and active lives

Paul is Patron of the Lord Mayors Children’s appeal, which raised thousand of pounds to give local underprivileged children a better Christmas each year

The Lord Mayor and his team very kindly invited me to the Mayors Pallor in the magnificent City Hall for a chat and was shown around the splendid Council Chambers.

All the best for a great rest of your year Paul

Afterwards I was very luck to be given a lift to the train station in the Mayor’s Car ( Electric), driven by the Mayor’s official driver,Richard.😀
