Carlisle Cathedral 

The lovely Mayor and Mayoress of  Carlisle, Councillor Christopher Southward  and Joan, pictured beside the wonderful Carlisle Cathedral 

Chris was born in Carlisle and has been a councillor since 1988.

He also has worked as a maths teacher, school , involved with the local law centre and supporter of the Scout movement 

Chris’ s main charity he is supporting in his year  is Carlisle Hospice

I met up with Chris and Joan , who have been married for 46 years,early morning outside the Cathedral
