GLOUCESTER

Councillor Mrs Kathy Williams, the Mayor of Gloucester

After 18 years as an elected representative for Gloucester including ten years in the County Council Cabinet, being responsible for Adult Social Care delivery, Kathy this year stepped down from cabinet to take on the busy role of Mayor.

Kathy’s main charities she is supporting are

St James City Farm and riding school, based in the Barton and Tredworth areas of the city providing a taste of the countryside in the inner city. The farm is run as a community project having charitable status

The Music Works is part of a national charity located in the hub at the centre of the city. They specialise in working with young people in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, learning and life

Kathy very kindly met me for a chat in the Mayors Parlour and with us was the Mayors consort ( and husband) Denzil who gives steadfast support to her in all her many roles

Good luck for an enjoyable successful but very busy year Kathy and Denzil
