Born and brought up in Leicester Susan has been a local councillor since 2011

Despite leaving school at age 15, Susan’s academic achievements include a history degree, a Masters in computing a PHD in social history, leading to a lecturing career book publishing on topics including local heritage and working class tourism and travel

Susan very kindly met me at the town hall today for a chat

The main local charity, the Mayor is supporting in her year is Charity Link, which provides essential items for local people in need
