Outside and in, Liverpools Metropolitan Cathedral , consecrated in 1967

The  splendid Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Richard Kemp.

First elected in 1975,Richard has represented several wards in the city, at present he is the councillor for the ‘Penny Lane’ Ward, and has fulfilled many rolls in this time, such that in 2011 he was awarded a CBE for public service to local regeneration and housing.

I caught up with The Lord Mayor in Liverpools fantastic Town Hall and as well as having a chat about his charities for the year also was lucky enough to latch onto a tour of the magnificent Town Hall given by James.

Richard’s charities for his year include the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra , the Liverpool Council for voluntary services, Liverpool museums and galleries and the Merseyside Community Foundation

One of the main aims to encourage younger people to be able to participate.

All the best for the rest of your year Richard 👍
