Park Bandstand in Matlock splendid Hall Leys Park

Councillor Jason Knighton, the splendid Mayor of Matlock, the County Town of Derbyshire.

Originally from Chesterfield then Cromford,  ( Cromford railway platform being on the sleeve of Oasis’s single ‘Some Might Say’ , by coincidence today it being announced they are going to do a reunion tour)

Jason was deputy Mayor last year and now has the top job.

Aside from this Jason also runs his own logistics firm, and is a keen supporter and sponsor of Matlock Town FC

I met Mayor Jason today for a chat and coffee

Jason main charity he is supporting in his year is the Golden Grange Centre in Matlock which offers support friendship and volunteering opportunities for the community.Jason also lends his support to other charities in the Town including the Blythe House Hospice and its charity shop

Have a great rest of the year Jason👍
